I am an innovative conservative leader (not a career politician) I’ve lived, worked, and operated my businesses in SD 22. I want to serve and represent you.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was clear to me that the approaches taken on a national and state level minimized or ignored our personal freedoms.

About Me:

I have a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis. This means that I have training and experience to use data to drive interventions that enact behavioral change at an individual and organizational level. I use those skills in my entrepreneurial efforts in health and human services, software, construction, and healthcare. I maintain active positions of CEO, Owner, and board member in all of my efforts. My ventures are all located in Utah County.

I hold a deep personal commitment to change the world we live in for the better in any way that I can. In my mind there are three ways to change the world: innovate, legislate, and when necessary, litigate. I have devoted myself to the 1st and trusted that the 2nd was being well taken care of by our state government. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was clear to me that the approaches taken on a national and state level minimized or ignored our personal freedoms. I previously believed and trusted that my fellow Republicans in the Utah House and Senate all thought like me. I was wrong. I believe those who perpetuate decisions that are harmful to our families, freedoms and communities must be met with stiff opposition.

With a strong commitment to our shared values of limited government, education excellence, transparency, responsible tax management, personal liberties, and infrastructure enhancement, I am prepared to champion our conservative ideals in the State Senate.

My Platform

  • I believe in empowering parents, teachers, and local communities to ensure our children receive a world-class education. I will advocate for innovative solutions that prioritize student success, parent choice and protect them from dangerous material and ideologies.

  • I am committed to open and accountable government. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our state government remains transparent, responsive, and accessible to the people. I know, all too well, the feelings of being held captive by bureaucratic red-tape and the frustration that comes from being subject to “government” timelines. It’s easy to forget those state offices and municipalities work for us, the taxpayer. It’s important that the bodies that hold us accountable are held accountable. The only way this is possible is to elect people who know how to operationally drive organizational behavior change and efficiency.

  • I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility. As a business owner in multiple industries, I have developed the ability to balance a budget and plan for future growth while ensuring the needs of the organization are well protected. I will advocate for the efficient use of tax dollars as if they were revenue at my company, ensuring that your hard-earned money is used wisely. With my extensive background in government contracting as a private contractor, I will actively identify where your tax dollars are being rendered ineffective through poor oversight, clunky technology and industrial lethargy. The all-to-common answer to the problems facing the government is to “raise taxes” without regard to how current taxes are used. Efficiency and effectiveness must be established before any increase is requested if you ask me.

  • In areas where congestion is a concern and thoughtful city and county planning is essential, I will actively support infrastructure improvements to promote economic growth and ease traffic burdens. Much of the current issues facing Utah County are the result of rapid growth being passed through antiquated city codes, county ordinances and state laws that were not drafted with a forward-thinking mindset. These practices have left us to battle with reactive problem-solving tactics as our “only” solution. I commit to always addressing today’s needs with the end in mind. We have an incredible state, many will continue to gather here. We need to plan accordingly to maintain our quality of life.
